Truth Trafficking report by Linton Muhammad
This was such a touching experience for me that I was inspired to share this testimony of servicing our people.
Every week Bro. Jesse Muhammad and myself have been going out with the Final Call newspaper amongst our people on the Southeast Side of Houston. After pushing on the corners, we would always go door to door. We were blessed to meet an elderly sister named Juanita, known throughout the complex as the “Cold Cup Lady.”
Sis. Juanita actually refused the Final Call newspaper the first time we knocked on her door, but on our next visit, Allah blessed us to earn her trust and she opened her door and accepted the paper! All praise belongs to Allah! On one of our visits she wasn’t feeling well and explained that she had rheumatoid arthritis and was in pain. We asked if there was something we could do to help, and she said a nice chair for her to sit on would help tremendously. She had been to several places and organizations but got no help. We accepted the challenge and went to work!
This past Friday, Allah blessed us to be able to deliver a very nice recliner to our sister! Our sister had also mentioned she had never heard the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan speak, so we also delivered the 2016 Holy Day of Atonement lecture for her to watch while enjoying her recliner! And to add on to this testimony the importance our presence in the community, when this young soldier learned what we were doing he got inspired and rode with us to help pick up and deliver the recliner! Allah-U-Akbar!
Salute to all who are working in the communities making a difference amongst our people! We are grateful to Allah to have the spirit to serve!
