Whose independence? Since 1776 you, Black man, have been worshipping the 4th of July along with the real author of the 4th of July … (the White man) as a day of Independence for themselves.
It is the White slave-master and his children who enjoy setting forth the 4th of July as a day of rejoicing over achieving this country’s Independence from any other foreign source.
Now, the history of the 4th of July shows that it is the Independence Day of the American White man. They wrote the Declaration of Independence for themselves. The White man did not put anything in the Declaration of Independence for the benefit of the Black Man, who was the servitude-slave of the White man at that time.
The joy which the Black slave experienced on these holidays of the White man was due to the Black man getting rest from his labor and the days which the White man had set aside for celebration. That is all the Black slave was rejoicing over … that he did not have to work that day.
But, you are free now; and you do not need this for an excuse for your worship of the 4th of July. There is no further need for us to worship the gaining of the White man’s independence. Let us take a look again at our own Black independence and how it came on this same day of the 4th of July … at the Coming of Allah (God) Who came in the Person of Master Fard Muhammad, to Whom praises are due forever, on July 4, 1930.
The significance of His coming to us, on the Independence Day of the White man, is very great. It is their day of great rejoicing. As with former peoples and their governments, their destruction took place when they were at the height of their rejoicing.
Nebuchadnezzar, according to the Bible history of him (Dan. Ch. 4), was walking around in his palace and proudly looking around and admiring the skill of the work he had set up and said, “has not all this my hand wrought?” The Bible teaches us that while the words were in his mouth, the end came. Allah (God) changed his mind and heart from that of a civilized man to the mind and heart of a beast. He had the brain reactions of a wild beast and he was cast out among the dumb brutes.
What does that signify? It gives us a gleaning into the history of the White man and his being cast out of the society of the Muslims six thousand years ago … after he was made and then started trouble among the people of righteousness.
Trouble-making caused the White man his exile into the hills and cave-sides of West Asia, as Europe was called at that time, so Allah (God) taught me. Its name was changed to Europe after the White man was cast into that area. Europe means a place where people are bound in, to keep them out of the society of the righteous.
Moses made (White man) as independent race, through the guidance which Allah (God) gave Moses, to guide the White man out of his savage cave life, and put him on the road of conquest of the Black man.
For four hundred years the White man swallowed us, (the Black man of America) up. He did not put us in a hole of the earth but he swallowed us up by keeping anything like wisdom from coming to us. He set a bound against our own Black people visiting us in order to prevent them from teaching us anything other than what the White man was teaching our Black slave-fathers.
This caged us in, and made just as secure a cage as the literal cage of Europe that the Arab people put the White man in six thousand years ago.
The 4th of July is the Day of rejoicing of the White man over his opponents, for the Western Hemisphere. He wrote his Constitution for his own White people…not for his Black slave.
Since this is his day which he set aside for himself, then what part, Black brother, do you have in this day? Your part is not mixed with his part in the way of his own White politics and physical independence.
But, as I called your attention to proud King Nebuchadnezzar’s history and what happened to him at the height of his kingdom, Allah (God) never destroyed a powerful people nor deprived them of self-independence when they were in trouble or when they were sick with grief. He made them to feel happy. He made them think that they would live forever.
So it was with the coming of Allah (God) in the Person of Master Fard Muhammad, to Whom praises are due forever, on His coming to us, on the 4th of July, 1930. His presence meant the destruction of the independence of the White race and especially, America … wover the Black man.
Allah (God) visited the Black slave, for he is more in need of help to enjoy freedom of self.
Since Allah (God) came for the purpose of bringing selfindependence to the Black slave, then His going forth is with justice (Bible Rev. 19:11). To show Allah’s (God’s) greatness and power over the slave-master and his people, now Allah (God) attacks them at the height of their civilization and at the greatness of their power and strength, on the 4th of July … while they worship their greatness of their accomplishment; and the Black slave is sitting at his feet. As it was with Nebuchadnezzar and as it was with Pharaoh, the same is being repeated today.
This is the significance of Allah’s (God’s) coming on the 4th of July. For four hundred years we have been suffering under the pangs of servitude-slavery and at the relentlessly merciless hands of the White slavemaster over us.
Allah (God) came to give justice and freedom to us and to make us equal members in the society of the new powerful, strong, and wise people of the earth.
Ever since that day, the 4th of July, 1930, has meant the doom of American domination over the Black man of America and the Black people of the earth. Ever since that day, America has been falling.
America’s fall is not imminent … it is now going on. America refused to break her fall when she could have broken her fall, as the Bible teaches us. Babylon could have been healed, but she was not (Je. 51:9). She did not do anything to warrant such forgiveness.
America has been offered the chance for forgiveness, but she refused to accept it, for she never offered to do anything favorable toward her Black slave, that would make them free of her power to rule them.
Black slaves went to their death, fighting the enemy of the White slavemaster, to help America to maintain her independence against foreign dominance. The Black slave was not given anything in exchange for his sacrifice.
When a dog hunts for a hunter, the hunter (master) will sometimes share a part of the game with the dog. The Black slave has helped his master to overcome and to put other peoples under the control of his White slave-master. The Black slave has fought, bled and died around the earth, to help the White slave-master to conquer those whom the master called his enemies.
We helped the White man to conquer Cuba and to overcome and subdue Mexico and the Philippine Islands and other places around the earth, and also Japan. How many lives did the Black man lose in the Pacific while helping the White man to conquer the people of Japan who are the brown, half-brother of the Black man? The Brown race and the Yellow race are the half-brother of the Black man.
Whose Independence? Now the White man and the Black man are both free on this day. The coming of Allah (God) on this day means the freedom of the Black man too. The clear significance of Allah’s (God’s) coming on this day shows the great wisdom of Allah (God).
Everywhere the White man may be, even in Europe, the earth belongs to the Black man.
Let us rejoice on this day, the 4th of July, in the coming of Allah (God) Who came in the Person of Master Fard Muhammad to Whom praises are due forever and give thanks to Him. Let us enjoy the independence he brought to us and the freedom, justice and equality.
He brought these things to us not by killing off the red Indian nor any original settlers. Justice and righteousness are the ammunition used by Allah (God).

I write this article knowing full well that this subject is not going to endear me to many readers and may even get me cursed out by a few (smile)! Due to how much we love our pets, we are willing to squabble with anyone who suggests that we may need to rethink that relationship. It is an important area to explore because children are fascinated by animals and are often the reason why parents choose to bring a pet home. But relax, no one is saying that we should not have pets, we just have to remember that our pets, though domesticated, are still animals.
The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan was asked the following question via Twitter: “Should Muslims have dogs as pets? If not, will you please explain.” The Minister answered, “You can have a dog as a pet; but you should always have a place for your pet – not in your house, in your bed, but a place outside. The Honorable Elijah Muhammad never told us we shouldn’t have a pet.” Animals belong outside, it’s their natural habitat. Living, eating and sleeping side-by-side with our pets is unnatural. But as is the case with most of our unnatural behaviors, we learned and adopted them from those who are not natural to our planet.
In the Holy Qur’an, there is a section titled, The Dwellers in the Cave, where it reads, “And thou mightest think them awake while they were asleep, and We turned them about to the right and to the left, with their dog outstretching its paws at the entrance. If thou didst look at them, thou wouldst turn back from them in flight, and thou wouldst be filled with awe because of them” (18:18). This particular verse is referencing the era when Caucasians lived in the caves and hillsides of Europe for two thousand years (i.e. caveman). The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad teaches that during this time they were deprived of divine guidance which caused them to live as and look like wild beasts. They lived in caves and trees, crawled on all fours, grew hair all over their bodies, and ate raw food. He teaches that before the new man (Caucasian), there was no such thing as swine, apes or monkeys.
The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad wrote, “Their [white race] next and best weapons were the dogs. They tamed some of these dogs to live in the caves with their families, to help protect them from the wild beasts. After a time, the dog held a high place among the family because of his fearlessness to attack the enemies of his master. Today, the dog is still loved by the white race and is given more justice than the so-called Negroes, and, is called the white man’s best friend. This comes from the cave days” (Message to the Blackman).
How could the Original man have a dog (god, spelled backwards), as his best friend? This is the invention of ‘mankind.’ The white man literally cares for his dogs and other pets with the same attentiveness and extravagance as he would a child. They schedule playdates for their pets, provide dental care, vaccines, health insurance, life insurance, grooming at the salon, fancy outfits, therapy, social media profiles and more. This is insanity.
This is not to say that we should mistreat or abuse animals. In fact, Allah (God) is displeased when we mishandle our authority over the lower animals and use them for other than their given purpose. They should not be killed for sport. They should only be killed for food, clothing or shelter. Yet, even in these instances, mercy is required in the manner they are slaughtered, which is done by taking them by surprise. They should be taken in the name of Allah (God) and should never see death coming. Cruelty to animals is considered a sin in Islam. Allah (God) requires kindness and mercy.
We should teach our children to not only be kind to animals, but to also study them in their natural habitat. There is so much that we can learn about ourselves and divine order by studying nature and the lower creatures. In everything that Allah (God) has created there is a lesson. People and their pets both benefit from keeping pets as close to their natural environment as possible. Instinctively animals are hunters. A domesticated pet will not hunt, but it should still be kept on property where there is a large yard and ample room for exercise. Exercise is good for both the mental and physical health of animals. They love being close to nature with the freedom to be active and have all of their senses stimulated. Animals are created to live outdoors, constantly absorbing Vitamin D from the sunlight. Therefore, a deficiency in Vitamin D can actually be more harmful for animals than for people.
Of course, the primary reason we want to keep our pets outdoors is for the cleanliness, health and refinement of the family home. The scripture reads, “Cleanliness is next to godliness” – the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan said, “Cleanliness is godliness!” Muslims remove their shoes upon entering the home. The bottoms of our shoes are incredibly filthy; just as filthy as the bottoms of the feet of our pets. If allowed indoors, they immediately track a myriad of grime, dirt, mud, excrement, muck, etc. on our floors, sofas, beds and more. Not to mention that pets are notorious for shedding, relieving themselves indoors and destroying furniture. Pets can also activate allergies and other zoonotic diseases, which are diseases that normally exist in animals, but can be transferred to infect humans. We will find that if we give our children an explanation of why we choose not to have pets, or why the pets will be kept outdoors, they will understand and learn to appreciate that the nature of the human is not the same as the nature of an animal. Give them the true history of the “caveman” and what type of people and lack of civilization emerged from people and animals cohabiting. If we really love our pets, we will respect their nature and demonstrate it by not taking them completely away from their designated existence and keep them outdoors.

Let me get this out of the way for the self-proclaimed Internet woke-ologists: Nobody of consciousness, in their right mind, would deliberately beg White tech companies nor whine over the moves that they make on platforms that they own and control. However, that doesn’t mean we have to sit by silently and not let our voices be heard in the face of injustice—including censorship. Yes, it’s possible to be able to do that AND build our own, support our own at the same time.
With that being said, on December 16, our Brother Ben X was delivering the Sunday address at the Nation of Islam’s Muhammad Mosque No. 64 in Austin, Texas. During his past messages, he would show tangible results from his then popular YouTube channel on the effect The Teachings of the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad as taught by the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan has and is having on people across the country and the world. Brother Ben had over 2,000 videos posted, over 100,000 subscribers and tens of millions of views.
While speaking in Austin, he thought he was merely having wifi issues when his videos wouldn’t play. He and the audience would later find out YouTube had terminated his entire channel for so-called “hate speech”. Brother Ben took to Twitter and said, “I need help from whoever can help! My YouTube account has been removed and I have no idea why!”
The next day he tweeted, “Family, my YouTube channel “Brother Ben X” has been terminated by @TeamYouTube or @YouTube I received NO EMAILS or NOTIFICATIONS about why my channel was taken down. I filed an APPEAL and have got nothing back from them. There is far worse content on @YouTube than mine and my channel was terminated without [explanation]. Can anyone at @TeamYouTube look into this? I was at 145k subscribers and got terminated without being notified about what I even did”
Just like when YouTube and Facebook censored several 2018 addresses by The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, I first went into my account to send a letter to their department. With all of the filth that’s allowed on so many channels, there was no legitimate reason for YouTube to remove Brother Ben’s channel; especially when he had a documented track record of positivity.
In my Dec. 16th letter I wrote:
Dear YouTube Executives, I am writing regarding the unjust termination of one of my favorite YouTube Channels belonging to Brother Ben X. This is a travesty! Brother Ben has been a consistent source of daily motivation for people across the world with his videos. The testimonies from his followership testify of this–young and old. He has NEVER posted so-called hate speech; that is an outright lie. In fact, it was just in August of this year he received a “Verified on YouTube” award in the mail from your company for exceeding, at that time, 134K subscribers. At that time he had tens of millions of views and as a young man has been a wonderful example to his peers on how to be successful with positive content on social media. I join others in DEMANDING that you immediately restore his account that he may continue to inspire people, change lives and deliver meaningful unique content. Stop the censorship.
Many took to social media to show their love and support for Brother Ben as he awaited the appeal while at the same time setting up other avenues to continue spreading truth and righteousness to the masses. Supporters also started calling, texting, emailing and direct messaging him along with sending contributions to his patreon page. Brother Ben encouraged people to follow his other social media accounts along with launching a podcast and then another YouTube account.
Nearly a week later YouTube would finally send him a response stating that his channel would remain suspended based upon their “Community Guidelines and Terms of Service.” This was not surprising especially when we know that criminal enterprises such as the Anti-Defamation League and the Southern Poverty Lie, ahem, I mean Law Center inserted themselves in Silicon Valley to advise Facebook, Google, Microsoft, and Twitter on combating what they consider cyber hate. This is why the social media pages of Minister Farrakhan and several Nation of Islam members has been consistently stifled, blocked and shadowbanned. And Brother Ben was blatantly targeted for being a strong helper of Minister Farrakhan. He is not the only one and certainly will not be the last.
However, every knock is a boost.
Back in October, Brother Ben was invited again to greet Minister Farrakhan in his hotel suite in Detroit during the 23rd anniversary of The Million Man March. In the video, which was posted on Brother Ben’s Instagram page, Minister Farrakhan said, “You are a great minister of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad and a great helper to His helper. May Allah continue to bless you to continue to spread The Word. You’re doing a wonderful job.”
Minister Farrakhan then asked, “And you hooked up with NFA?! It’s on the way!”
NFA (Never Fall Again) Studios is owned and operated by members of the Nation of Islam. It is a subscription streaming platform that offers access to historic lectures by Minister Farrakhan. It was launched last May and I am happy to say I have had a subscription since day one. Not only do we get access to so many life-saving messages by Minister Farrakhan, on any topic you can think of, NFA has present and forthcoming shows about the history of the Nation of Islam, How To Eat To Live, fitness, Black marriage and family, news and more.
Minister Farrakhan has called for one million people to subscribe to “this idea of edutainment, where you’re learning and laughing; learning and improving the quality of your life by improving the quality of your thinking.”
And guess what? NFA announced that Brother Ben will have his own show titled “UNCENSORED”. And from the look of things, Brother Ben has already started shooting the first episode.
During his November 18th address at Mosque Maryam in Chicago, Minister Farrakhan said to his enemies, “You think that the Nation is only Louis Farrakhan? You think that I’m the only one that can battle this enemy and beat them down. We’ve got stars here.”
There’s a lot in that and one thing that came to my mind is if you cut off the head of a spider, it dies. But if you cut off the leg of a starfish, it grows a new one, and that new leg can grow into an entirely new starfish.
As long as we’re striving to be helpers of Minister Farrakhan, who is reflecting The Light emanating from the invincible truth revealed by Master Fard Muhammad to the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad, then we won’t be impacted by the swing of the dragon’s tail or the flood of propaganda written in Revelation 12.
Time to shine.
And never fall again.
DETROIT—For the first time in history the Million Man March Anniversary will take place in Detroit, Michigan, at the newly-named Aretha Franklin Amphitheater, previously known as Chene Park. On October 14, thousands of Muslims from the Nation of Islam (NOI), family members, friends and supporters are expected to converge in the city which will be a homecoming for the 88-year Islamic movement
This October marks the 23rd Anniversary of the Million Man March and Holy Day of Atonement. The mosque community as well as residents of the City of Detroit are very excited about the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan and Nation of Islam returning to the city of its founding.
The historic event is expected to take place with weekend long activities starting on Friday, October 12 – Sunday, October 14. The keynote address by Min. Farrakhan will take place on Sunday, October 14.
Key leaders in Detroit, community activists and organizers, clergy, civic leaders, entrepreneurs, educators, government officials, entertainers, Muhammad Mosque No. 1 Believers and other hard-working residents attended a town hall planning meeting about the Holy Day of Atonement at the only Black-owned hotel in Detroit in the Roberts Riverwalk Hotel newly-renovated Grand Ballroom.
It was a beautiful atmosphere with a view of the waterfront. The energy in the room was filled with excitement and anticipation of the discussion. Once the entire Nation of Islam Executive Council walked in the room to take their seats and start the Sept. meeting, the room filled to standing room only with approximately 300 people in attendance.
Student Minister Troy Muhammad of Muhammad Mosque No. 1 in Detroit welcomed everyone. Student Min. Troy Muhammad and members of the leadership team made calls to invite the community to have a seat at the table of planning activities and to receive their blessing by helping the man of God.
A divine movement in an historic city
“The response of the city was the response based upon the love and the heart of the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan. It’s a response based upon the coming of Master Fard Muhammad in 1930 because so many Believers were affected by the coming of Master Fard Muhammad that you can’t identify a family that doesn’t have a Muslim member in the family, so we are already familiar with those teachings,” he explained.
Though Chicago is the international headquarters of the Nation, and is where its flagship Mosque Maryam is located, Detroit is where the NOI was founded and established, July 4, 1930 with the appearance of the Great Mahdi Master Fard Muhammad. It was in Black Bottom Detroit where Master Fard Muhammad met, raised and cultivated thousands of Black men, women and children—among them, his top student, the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad. Over the recent years, the Nation has hosted its annual Saviours’ Day Convention, commemorating the birth of Master Fard Muhammad in Detroit—the last gathering in the city coming in 2017. However, this is the first time the city will host the anniversary of the 1995 Million Man March called by God through Min. Farrakhan.
“When one comes teaching those teachings, it resonates with the people here, the words of the Honorable Louis Farrakhan resonate with our people here in Detroit, there is no question that the people will come out based on his name. I’m appreciative that they came out and I thank the people of Detroit for attending this meeting on behalf of the Minister,” Student Min. Troy Muhammad continued.
“People know that he donated 90,000 Final Call newspapers—and that cost, and that he wants to do a free event for the city of Detroit and everyone wants to do their part to alleviate the burden for the Minister. We chose the Riverwalk Hotel for this meeting because it is the only Black-owned hotel in the city, and because Mike Roberts is a strong supporter of the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan. If you want to attend this event and you live in Detroit, contact Muhammad Mosque No. 1.”
Min. Farrakhan gifted the City of Detroit with a special commemorative editions of the newspaper featuring the iconic Aretha Franklin, who called Detroit home. Ms. Franklin died Aug. 16.
Stu. Minister Ishmael Muhammad, National Assistant for Min. Farrakhan introduced each NOI Executive Council member and shared very important words about the history of the Million Man March and why Detroit is a special, spiritual and important city as Mecca to the Muslim followers of the Hon. Elijah Muhammad.
“It gives me great joy to come back home, personally, because it’s the city of my mother. And this is where we buried my mother,” he said, reflecting on his mother, Tynnetta Muhammad, wife of the Hon. Elijah Muhammad.
“This is the city of my father, the Hon. Elijah Muhammad. So, I have roots here, and each time I come, to be honest, I start realizing more and more that I really am connected to Detroit even though I wasn’t raised here. But more than that, this city is such a sacred city, and it has so many great men and women in this city,” said Student Min. Ishmael Muhammad.

In the previous article you can read these words:
“I’ve put these words in a book concerning the Honorable Elijah Muhammad and the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan. I intend to comment on these words, next issue, Allah willing.”
The word, “why” means: “for what reason or purpose; on account of which; for which; the reason for which; a reason or explanation.
In the last article, I wrote these words from the Honorable Elijah Muhammad: “Since you and me are witnesses here this afternoon in this world that we live, we have been so greatly misunderstood that I desire that Allah send to me a little helper.”
The Honorable Elijah Muhammad spoke those words in 1954. What caused him to use those words in 1954? I was not there when he spoke those words to others?
In 1955 the Honorable Elijah Muhammad first saw the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan as his “little helper.” He gave Minister Farrakhan his “assignment” right then.
I’m using the word assignment, which means: a task or piece of work assigned to someone as part of a job or course of study; the allocation of a job or task to someone; the task or post to which one has been appointed; the attribution of someone or something as belonging; an act of making a legal transfer of a right, property, or liability; a document effecting such a transfer.
But this word also means much more in this situation.
In the book Closing The Gap, we can read:
Brother Jabril: You were nineteen years old when you first heard that God had chosen a Messenger for our people?
Minister Farrakhan: I was standing on the corner of Massachusetts and Columbus Avenue. I heard that God had raised a Messenger for our people. And I started walking because I was a little sad and I questioned God and I said, “God why didn’t you choose me?
You know I love my people.
And as I walked, I think I had tears in my eyes. I said to myself when this happened in 1931, I wasn’t even born. So the sadness went away, right away, and I knew I had to go and meet this man and offer him my help.
Then you can read this:
Brother Jabril: Please tell us a little bit of your mother’s efforts how she filled you with love for our people, the kind of material she gave you to read.
Minister Farrakhan: I remember one of the primary newspapers was The Crisis Magazine. In it was the writing of W. E. B. Dubois.
She would always bring home a Black newspaper—The African American, The Pittsburg Currier, those two especially.
And always in those papers there were stories of lynching and mistreatment of our people. Of course, that deepened my desire to see someone who would come along who would free our people.
That’s what led to my questioning my Sunday school teacher, that if God had raised Moses for his people and He always sent some prophet, or somebody, to deliver people who were oppressed, why hasn’t God sent somebody to deliver us?
Brother Jabril: How old were you then?
Minister Farrakhan: About seven or eight.
Brother Jabril: How old were you when you stood on the chair?
Minister Farrakhan: Eleven years old.
Brother Jabril: When you were first looking at the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, what were you thinking?
Minister Farrakhan: I was a little frightened that he seemed to know what I was thinking. But then he told me “Don’t pay any attention to how I’m saying it, you pay attention to what I’m saying and then you take it and put it in that fine language that you know. Only try to understand what I’m saying.
That event was February 25th, 1955.
What does the word “relation” mean? In the New Oxford American Dictionary we can read this: “the way in which two or more concepts, objects, or people are connected; a thing’s effect on or relevance to another; (relations) the way in which two or more people, countries, or organizations feel about and behave toward each other.
Does this involve the Resurrection? If so, what does it mean at the end of this time? Does it also involve the word “Commission?”
Commission means: the authority to perform a task or certain duties. an instruction, command, or duty given to a person or group of people; an order for something; a work produced in response to such an order; a group of people officially charged with a particular function.
How many know the history of the King James Bible and God Himself allowing it to come up in this way?
In the Bible, we can read in Exodus Chapter 4:1-16.
And Moses answered and said, But behold they will not believe me, nor hearken unto my voice; for they will say, The Lord hath not appeared unto thee.”
And the Lord said unto him, What is that in thine hand? And he said. A rod.
And he said, Cast it on the ground. And he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from before it.
And the LORD said unto Moses, Put forth thine hand, and take it by the tail. And he put forth his hand, and caught it, and it became a rod in his hand:
That they may believe that the LORD God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath appeared unto thee.
And the LORD said furthermore unto him, Put now thine hand into thy bosom. And he put his hand into his bosom: and when he took it out, behold, his hand was leprous as snow.
And he said, Put thine hand into thy bosom again. And he put his hand into his bosom again; and plucked it out of his bosom, and, behold, it was turned again as his other flesh.
And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe thee, neither hearken to the voice of the first sign, that they will believe the voice of the latter sign.
And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe also these two signs, neither hearken unto thy voice, that thou shalt take of the water of the river, and pour it upon the dry land: and the water which thou takest out of the river shall become blood upon the dry land.
And Moses said unto the LORD, O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue.
And the LORD said unto him, Who hath made man’s mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the LORD?
Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say.
And he said, O my Lord, send, I pray thee, by the hand of him whom thou wilt send.
(In the Bible, Aaron was appointed by God to help Moses )
And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Moses, and he said, Is not Aaron the Levite thy brother? I know that he can speak well. And also, behold, he cometh forth to meet thee: and when he seeth thee, he will be glad in his heart.
And thou shalt speak unto him, and put words in his mouth: and I will be with thy mouth, and with his mouth, and will teach you what ye shall do.
And he shall be thy spokesman unto the people: and he shall be, even he shall be to thee instead of a mouth, and thou shalt be to him instead of God.
That was in February 1955 when the Honorable Elijah Muhammad first saw the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan. Why am I writing this article now?
More next issue Allah willing.

As parents we understandably comfort ourselves by saying, “We did the best we could – children don’t come with any instructions, you know.” Many parents are doing the best they can; making daily decisions based on what they know. Some parents know better; yet for one reason or another refuse to do better. But we would argue, that most parents have simply never been taught how to rear their children so they begin at a great disadvantage. Childrearing can be a very sensitive topic because no mother or father wants to be charged with being a “bad” parent. However, the art and science of childrearing is far too important not to speak straight words. So, here we go…
Unfortunately there are in fact a lot of really bad parents out there – but for the most part, it is not their fault. Our hope is that if parents and potential parents become aware of the presence of a Master Teacher, God in Person; and know that He generously shared how to best live this life and how to rear future generations, then we will take advantage of such knowledge and seek to become better parents.
The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan said, “There are no parents who are free of mistakes or errors in the rearing of their children. It is sad that we can go to colleges and universities to receive degrees that tell us that we are qualified to work in our various fields of endeavor, but, the most important endeavor, which is the building of human life through the skill of parenting does not seem to matter in our quest for the acquisition of knowledge. There are no courses offered in high school or college that will allow us to become proficient in this skill. Yet, all of us will eventually become parents. Doctors who make mistakes or errors can leave their patients permanently wounded or even dead. Lawyers who make mistakes can cause their clients to suffer great loss, even the loss of life. Builders who make mistakes can cause what they build to crumble and fall. What happens when we make errors or mistakes in the rearing of our children?”
The Women’s class in the Nation of Islam is called, Muslim Girls’ Training and General Civilization Class (M.G.T. & G.C.C.). Why “girls” if it is a class for women? Our biological maturity may indicate that we are women; but when we enroll in the classroom of God, we must come as a little child. We must come humble and eager to learn; bearing witness that we know very little compared to all there is to know. Yes, we are women; but to Allah (God), we are His little girls. We are given seven major training units in this class. One of which is: How to Rear Our Children! Wise people seek teaching and training in areas they have not yet mastered. The condition of this world bears witness that few, if any, have mastered this most important subject of parenting.
A curriculum, which teaches both men and women how to give birth to gods and how to properly rear their children, must be implemented in every school in America and the world over. It cannot be just any parenting curriculum; it must be a god-centered curriculum. As parents, our ultimate goal should not be to simply reproduce academically trained robots and good employees; we should want to produce gods! We have to bear witness that we have not been taught how to do that. A curriculum this demanding must be introduced before becoming a parent. This means mandating course curricula beginning at the high school or even middle school level.
In every other endeavor or walk of life, preparation precedes the profession or practice and the preparation begins early. We cannot buy a car without knowing how to drive. The proof that one knows how to drive is by the issuance of a driver’s license. Young teenaged drivers are not only required to pass written tests; but they have to log several hours of supervised driving in all conditions – inclement weather, nighttime, highways, rural, residential areas, parking lots, etc. One must meet a certain degree of mastery before being allowed to operate an automobile unsupervised. Yet, absolutely NOTHING is required to become a parent! No teaching, no training, no license, no degree, no proof of income, no spouse, no babysitting experience, no CPR/first-aid training – no requirements at all. We are all free to reproduce human life without any preparation whatsoever. That is a problem!
Every creator or manufacturer of a product provides a manual or instructions on how to use and maintain the product. The manufacturer does not leave us to our own understanding. Even Q-tips have instructions for safe usage! The Bible states that God gave men dominion; and similarly, the Holy Qur’an refers to men as Allah’s (God’s) khalifah or successor. If this is the case, are we to actually believe that the Supreme Being anointed us with rulership, but did not leave us any instructions on how to care for His most precious gift – human life? Of course not, Allah (God) would never give us power and influence without guidance.
We know that perfection does not exist in parenting. Most of us as parents fall into one of two categories. We are either too hard on ourselves or we are not hard enough. Unfortunately today’s modern parents may need to lean towards the latter. Parents are allowing children to rear themselves and encouraging children to make adult decisions – in the name of “allowing them to be their own person.” How can our children be themselves if they are not seeking understanding of the God who gave them their aim and purpose? Sorry, hands-off parenting is just lazy and reckless. Only wealthy, well-connected parents can afford to experiment on their children. If these parents mess-up, no problem – money and connections can give almost anyone a do-over. We need God’s way the first time.
We also may have heard some parents say, ‘Oh I would never tell another person how to parent their child; they have to do what works for them.’ This sounds good, but at the root of this statement is, ‘I do not want anyone else to tell me how to rear my children.’ It exposes a bit of arrogance as a parent to say that we do not need any direction, guidance, teaching or training with our most sacred endeavor, the rearing of our children. And it is also equally selfish not to share with others our successes and our failures so they may learn.
After all, God Himself established childrearing as a training unit in conjunction with other units. Isn’t it interesting how we do not hesitate to seek additional knowledge about our other training units? We seek recipes and cooking techniques from great chefs; we will learn how to sew from premier seamstresses; we will buy books or attend workshops to strengthen our marriages; there is no resistance to a Sister sharing her DIY cleaning agents or how to be a good hostess; and we will tune-in to hear about the best travel tips and etiquette before we take that family vacation. But, how to rear our children – ‘I’ll figure that out on my own.’
We are not saying that if we enroll in the M.G.T. & G.C.C. that there will be an answer to every possible circumstance or situation that may arise with our children. But we will learn enough to be very well prepared to handle 90% of the challenges which will come our way. Mistakes will happen, but they do not have to exist – meaning, the parent will move swiftly to correct those mistakes once it comes to his or her attention. And where someone’s specific circumstance does not have a clear answer, this is when we turn inward and listen to our intuition. Intuition is never wrong because it is directly from God. The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad said, “You and I were reared by the devil, in his hell. Since we were reared by the devil, it takes an awful powerful teacher to get him out of you.” That awful powerful Teacher is God in Person. We do not teach the coming of God, we teach His Presence and He has invited us all to enroll in His classroom.

I thank Allah (God) so much for remembering His promise to Abraham, that his seed would be a stranger in a land that is not theirs and they would serve a strange people in that strange land who would afflict them for 400 years; but He said to Abraham: “After that time I will come, and I will judge that nation which they shall serve, and afterwards shall they come out with great substance.” That’s a great promise—and Allah (God) never breaks His promise.
Black people have wondered, “Why, God, have You allowed us to suffer like this? What have we done to deserve what You have caused to be put upon us?” And the scripture teaches of Jesus: When he met the man born blind, and the disciples asked him, “Who did sin? Did he or his parents?,” Jesus answered, “Neither did his parents sin, nor did he sin. He is born blind, that the works of God may be manifest in him.” (John 9:1-3) In other words, his suffering was a part of a well-thought-out plan; that Satan would have his (Abraham’s) seed and put the seed into such a condition that only He (God) could get them out of it. In essence, we were put in this condition so that the people who have not known God in these last 6,000 years of the rule of a strange people: that our rise on The Call of God when He comes would make Him known to a world that has not known Him. They know of Him—we talk about “God”; but in that day, His people are going to learn about Him, and have a personal relationship with Him. And as the scripture teaches (Ezekiel 37:13): “When (not if, “when”) I have raised you out of your graves, then shall you know that I, The Lord, am God, and beside Me there is no Saviour!”
I greet you, my dear brothers and sisters, thanking Allah for the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, this great master teacher that I have been blessed to be taught by. Today, we want to know him better, and we want to know Al Mahdi, his Teacher, better.
Keys for enduring trials
Sometimes in a basketball season, you have to have someone do an extraordinary thing to seal the knowledge that he or she is “the best.” You can’t claim to be the best until you have shown your prowess and defeated all the rest.
God allowed Pharaoh to become great: He allowed Pharaoh to be looked upon by the people as a god beside God; so, He had to show on His coming that He, in fact, was God. He was so much of a God that He took one of the slaves and made him a god over Pharaoh, to declare to the world that the one that He made a god over Pharaoh was one of millions that He would bring back to where they originally were.
I have been among you a long time … and the scripture says you would treat me “like a lovely song”—like it was with David. The scripture teaches that he had “a lovely-sounding voice, and he played well on an instrument.” But the people: Even though they loved to hear him, they hardly ever did what he taught them; but after he was gone from among them, they really recognized that a prophet of God was among them.
Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, lived for 62 1/2 years. Do you know that I have been preaching this word in America for all the years of The Prophet’s life? Sometimes people, when they walked by Noah, they laughed at him and mocked him. I said, “Poor man! A prophet of God was building an ‘ark’ (a ship, a boat) in a desert where it doesn’t rain.” When I think on Noah, I’m so inspired, because I can imagine this poor man, with his poor little family around him, whispering: “I think daddy is … I think he’s ‘off’ a little bit. Don’t tell him I said this, but for him to be talking about a flood, water coming—and we haven’t seen water in a long, long time. …” That poor man, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad said, taught for 150 years. So, people want to know: “Well, why do you keep saying the same thing over and over again, Farrakhan? I heard this yesterday. I heard it the day before. I heard it 10 years ago, I’ve been listening to you. … When is the ‘new’ message coming?”
I say, “Why do you think you deserve a new message when you have never acted on the old message that you received?” When a man stays this long on a post teaching his people, either he is crazy, or, he believes so thoroughly in what he is teaching, and he knows the results of what he is teaching, that it doesn’t bother him (the insults of the people and their mockery of him), because all the prophets knew they would be the winner in the end. When they came, the prophets threatened the people. Not that they had the power to fulfill the threat, but the word of God always is accompanied from the mouth of a prophet with a threat. The people, after they heard the threat so many times, said: “Why don’t you bring on us what you threaten us with?” The prophets would say, “Wait. I, too, am waiting.”

Wesley Muhammad (WM): All praise is due to Allah. Thank you.
EM: You are not the only one that has had those type of questions relating to faith. You opened up about what you described as a tear in your spiritual garment, regarding where Allah, Master Fard Muhammad, intervenes in our affairs on an individual basis, aside from His anointed Servants. You said, “I didn’t see myself as being on the radar of the Lord of the Worlds.”
What was it that caused you to feel that way and draw that conclusion?
WM: Well, again, partly my path and partly the way my mind actually works. By path I mean I was an atheist before Islam. I was anti-religion as an intellectual. When I did come to Islam, it was through the Five Percenters, and the Five Percent Nation is anti-religion. We think differently about religious matters. We tend to need more demonstration of a point of a religious matter than most religious people. So I already had that predisposition to need greater demonstration of faith matters. That’s what it is. Faith matters. Matters that have no empirical proof, but we have to have faith in their regard.
After 28 years of critically engaging this teaching, I’m pursuing religion with a totally academic perspective. I bear witness that there are still matters that are a matter of faith. We just cannot prove them, and those are very valuable matters of faith. But in my earlier stages, those matters of pure faith, I needed a more robust demonstration of them. And one of those matters was, “Is the God, Whom I acknowledge as Master Fard Muhammad, interested in the affairs of the little believer?” Life’s challenges makes all of us ask the question, “Where is God in our life?” And for me I needed mathematical or critical demonstration of it. We would bring such questions to our pastors or ministers, “Where was God in our life when this happened?” We bring those to our pastors and we get the pastoral answers. We get the “foot prints in the sand” poem type of answers, but for me as an atheist and Five Percenter, that just was never persuasive to me. They weren’t real helpful to me. Those pastoralisms weren’t helpful to me. I needed something more concrete to make my religion make mathematical sense on a personal level. On a global level it made all the sense in the world. Master Fard Muhammad, He is Master of all of these planets and life forms that are on all of these planets. He’s the Master of them, so He’s very pre-occupied, in other words.
So I did not, I could not telescope the God into my personal life, not intellectually. Not in a way that was intellectually satisfying to me. So that was my blind spot. I needed demonstration of His intervention in my affairs, and on a critical thinking level I did not feel that I was able to point to convincing proof to me. Even though, of course, they were there all the time, but where I was in my thinking I could not point to demonstrable proof that He was intervening in my affairs all while He is protecting His Messiah against the most power government in the world, and marshalling the forces of the other civilizations of the planets to come against the enemy. He has big ticket responsibility. I was looking for and I needed more convincing evidence in the midst of all of that He even had time to consider my affairs.
EM: You answered that so beautifully, and you answered the second question regarding what evidence you were in need of that you weren’t receiving. Thank you for going right into that.
This next question is regarding your research and your doctoral dissertation revolving around the reality of God in Him being a man. We know that…well I’ll speak for myself, because I have your books; I know that there’s no deficit in your knowledge, but how and when did you realize…
WM: Well we all have deficits in our knowledge. We all work with a margin of error. The only one who does not work with a margin of error is the Messenger of God. Anything short of revelation, has a margin of error.
EM: Yes sir, thank you for your correction. Allow me to say it like this in the context of this question: How did you and when did you realize that there was a deficit in your faith compared to your level of knowledge?
WM: That was always a nagging question for me. It followed me and it nagged me. I’ll tell you this if I can share it.
EM: Yes sir, go ahead!
WM: There’s this experience. There was this Summer between one of my semesters. I was a poor, very poor student. So eating and finding the next meal was a task. One time I went up to a brother’s house, who was a F.O.I., and he happened to have a fish fry. And he happened to have enough for myself and my brother who I came with and who was my Five Percenter teacher. I hadn’t or didn’t want to join the mosque yet. There was the discussion about praying over the food. Obviously, the Muslims were praying. I was inclining towards the Muslims, but I was there with my teacher who was a Five Percent who gave his reason why not to. So I conceded to his reasoning, and as fate would have it, as they all were enjoying and as he was enjoying his fish sandwich, mine fell on the floor before I could take a bite of it. I was so mad and so hungry. (laughs)
The question of whether I, as a little believer, am on the radar of the Lord of the Worlds that He would even receive it (prayer over food) was what the argument was. Why would He receive it if it’s ritualism? Why would He receive this praying over fish? So that issue nagged me throughout my whole journey. There were some nagging issues. So it wasn’t a moment in which I discovered the tear. It nagged me from the beginning until I got to Chicago and demonstrable proof, demonstrable evidence, was given to me. But it nagged me the whole time.
EM: Yes sir, thank you.
In January of this year, the Study Group webcast that was shown from the Final Call Administration Building in Chicago with Sister Ava Muhammad and a few others, featured clips of the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan teaching about faith and knowledge. He said, “Faith is greater than knowledge. Faith is in the absence of knowledge.”
EM: And he went on to say, “We are not the Best Knower, we have to have faith in Him, Allah.”
WM: That’s right…
EM: He said, “Big belief can accomplish what those in this world with knowledge cannot.”
WM: That’s powerful.
EM: Yes sir. How and at what point did you begin to tip the scale of what you know toward faith? What was that first thing that you had to do, or what was that first step you had to take?
WM: Beautiful question. The faith versus knowledge dynamic was also the dynamic that was in my consciousness from the very beginning. It became acute for me, because Allah happened to bless me to know. This is to emphasize the tear in my spiritual garment, because Allah blessed me, Sister Ebony, to factually know the reality of this Teaching of Islam. My introduction to the Teachings was totally intellectual. My approach to it was academic. I studied every aspect. The truth of this Teaching, the body of wisdom is not a matter of belief or faith to me. It is a verifiable body of knowledge that I can demonstrate by Allah’s grace across the world.
Allah blessed me to become a knower of the truth of His Islam, not a mere believer in its truth. However, therein lies my challenge and my trial. All while I’m sure and self assured that Allah has blessed me to be a knower of the truth of my religion, while I’m seeing people all around me — and I’m the main antagonist in many of these situations– people having their faith ripped out from under their feet, because knowledge will come to them or something would challenge their faith, and oftentimes it’s me ripping their rug of faith out from under their feet. True story. So while I’m self-assured in the truth, I’m still conscious of the fact the Quran is very clear that, “Blessed are the believers…”. It’s the believers, not the knowers. So I’m conscious of that this whole time, but not knowing really what that means except that I know that I had my deficit.
Nation of Islam Minister Louis Farrakhan is only the most recent Black leader to be slandered by the Jewish charge of “anti-Semitism.”
In fact, from early in the last century until the present day, every major Black leader at some point in his or her public life has been tagged with the Jewish scarlet letter “A” for “anti-Semite.”
The list of respected Blacks who have been victimized by the “black anti-Semite” label spans the religious and political spectra, from organizations to individuals, from politicians to entertainers. The roster of “black anti-Semites” includes such eminent figures as Booker T. Washington, W.E.B. Du Bois, Marcus M. Garvey, the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Malcolm X, and The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad, as well as President Nelson Mandela and Bishop Desmond Tutu of South Africa. Other Black figures targeted by Jewish slanderers include Julian Bond, Kwame Ture (Stokely Carmichael), Andrew Young, Kweisi Mfume, and the Reverends Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, and Joseph Lowery.
Whole organizations have been so branded, including the Student Non-violent Coordinating Committee (SNCC), the Black Panthers, the Universal Negro Improvement Association (Garvey’s movement), and the Nation of Islam. The spiritual leader of the independence movement in India, and the model for the American civil rights movement, Mohandas K. Gandhi, was labeled an “anti-Semite” for his advocacy of Palestinian rights. Learned Black scholars like John Hope Franklin, J.A. Rogers, James Baldwin, Richard Wright, and even Julius Lester and Alice Walker have all been castigated as “black anti-Semites.” Black entertainers like the late Michael Jackson, film director Spike Lee, rapper Ice Cube, Arsenio Hall, Muhammad Ali, Public Enemy, and even Oprah Winfrey, if we are to believe some Jewish spokespeople, are all “black anti-Semites.” As was every one of the 2.2 million Black men attending the 1995 Million Man March, as well as those attending the 2000 Million Family March—babies and all!
Even white presidents Harry S. Truman, John F. Kennedy, Richard M. Nixon, Jimmy Carter, Gerald Ford, and George H.W. Bush have faced the charge of “anti-Semitism” for their statements or policies some Jews found objectionable. Within days of his 2009 inauguration, the first Black president of the United States of America, Barack Obama, was declared an “Anti-Semitic Jew-Hater” and caricatured on Israeli posters wearing the traditional Arab keffiyeh (headdress). A campaign in 2010 to impeach President Obama collects petition signatures at suburban Jewish supermarkets, using the same defamatory images.
