Anyone who keeps saying young people don’t want to listen, must be a person who doesn’t know how to connect to them and exerting too much negative energy condemning them. While we’re in the streets bringing knowledge, wisdom and understanding from The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, we have no problems at all getting the young gods to stop and listen. In fact, many of them gravitate to us before we say anything. We’re never condemning them, only encouraging and uplifting. We do a lot of listening. The Brother in this picture, along with his friend, told us they won’t open their door for other religious groups but when they looked through the window and saw it was us, they happily opened the door. It was a fruitful dialogue and next time they want us to bring a bean pie! All Praise is Due to Allah!! Nothing like being in the streets. #TruthTrafficking #Farrakhan #HopeDealers [📸: @lintonmuhammad]
The Final Call Newpaper
Moments like this is why I love going out every week into the Southeast Houston streets with my Fruit of Islam brothers. This is one of the most energetic young gods we’ve met on the block. Every time we’ve seen him, like others, we dropped some jewels on him from the wisdom of The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad and The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan. In some of his darkest moments, he’s come to us for a ray of hope…
He walked up to me on Friday with a beaming smile and said, “Aye, I’ve been listening to my man on YouTube!!” I said, “Who is that?” He said, “THE MINISTER!” as he pointed to the picture of Minister Farrakhan on the back of The Final Call Newspaper I was holding.
He testified of how listening to Minister Farrakhan’s messages has helped to change his life and that things are a lot better in his life than the last time we saw him. All Praise is Due to Allah!! Inspiration is contagious!!! Let’s keep spreading it!! #NationOfIslam #Hope #HopeDealers #Farrakhan #Success
‼️TRUTH TRAFFICKING ‼️ Today’s weather forecast had plenty of rain, but Allah had other plans for us! While it stormed in many parts of the city, we were blessed to have sunshine and a cool overcast as we hit the street blocks and went door-to-door in the Southeast Houston area. The spirit was high and the conversations with the people were inspiring! We get blessed immensely by striving to stay consistent in these streets. Salute to me Fruit of Islam brothers Linton Muhammad and Chad Muhammad . What a blessing! All Praise is Due to Allah! #NationOfIslam #Farrakhan
As-Salaam Alaikum! Ramadan Mubarak!
As a striving Fruit of Islam soldier in the ranks of the greatest brotherhood on the planet, it’s a blessing to strive to stay consistently focused on The Mission, which is the mental and spiritual resurrection of our people. Even during this blessed Ramadan fasting season of intense heat in Houston, I’m not interested in making excuses or getting distracted by frivolous things.
Like other F.O.I. soldiers, I’m hungry for and more passionate about being in the streets to deliver a Word from The Teachings of The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad as Exemplified by The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan. Real men do not have to be told what to do, their Mission and Love for that mission calls them to do it. So a dry mouth is nothing compared to the dry bones in the valley (‘hoods) awaiting us to come and deliver a Word that they’re thirsting for. A growling stomach is nothing compared to the young gods in the streets who are hungering for purpose and direction. A little heat is nothing compared to the hellish condition our community is in that can be transformed by The Word that transformed our lives.
May Allah bless all of my Fruit of Islam brothers to stay focused on bigger picture, stay hungry/passionate about The Mission and not allow ourselves to get caught up in petty things that have no bearing on The 1st Work: The Resurrection. I am a witness that the more we serve others, the more blessed we are. This is not a job, it’s a labor of love. With that being said: I’m looking forward to getting in these streets with my F.O.I. Brothers! Let’s go! #FruitOfIslam #NationOfIslam #Farrakhan [? @lintonmuhammad]
I love going out into the streets and door to door every week with my Fruit of Islam brothers. So many of our beautiful people in Southeast Houston, such as Ms. Juanita and her nephew, always express appreciation for us consistently coming by with The Final Call Newspaper, uplifting conversations and a cheerful spirit.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.—When the deeds of Muslims are discussed among the American public, positive activities are rarely acknowledged and negative connotations, often amplified through the rhetoric of policymakers, mass media, and the general population, cause many to judge the faith with doubt and suspicion.
However, in recognition of his quick thinking and actions, Bro. Suni X (Musawwir) of the Nation of Islam, received a Citation of Appreciation from the Grand Rapids Police Department honoring his conduct in capturing an armed robbery suspect of the Captain Jay’s Fish & Chicken restaurant on the city’s Southeast Side.
In recognition of Bro. Suni’s part in apprehending a much sought after perpetrator, suspected in multiple robbery attempts in and around the city, Grand Rapids Chief, David Rahinsky wrote: “Your quick actions aided the Grand Rapids Police Department in solving several attempted armed robberies of businesses, while certainly preventing further attempted robberies by the suspect,” the chief’s citation read in part. “I would like to thank and commend you for being an involved citizen in your community.”
Although the incident occurred in July 2016, it wasn’t until late January of this year that Bro. Suni received a call from the Grand Rapids Police Department notifying him of the award. Downplaying the significance of his part in taking down the alleged suspect, it wasn’t until about three weeks after receiving the citation that he told the Believers and Student Laborers of the Grand Rapids Study Group.
“I was in my van at the time and listening to music and a Caucasian individual walked out (of the restaurant), casually, and as he proceeded South, I noticed he was looking around and I thought he was afraid because he was walking in a Black neighborhood, but when he got down the block, the manager and others came out hollering and screaming, ‘we’ve been robbed; it was a White guy,’” Bro. Suni recalled the restaurant employees as saying.
After a brief foot chase, Bro. Suni tackled the perpetrator and a neighborhood resident, watching from his front porch, helped to pin him to the ground, holding the alleged robber in place until authorities arrived. Although Bro. Suni said the restaurant employees told him the man was armed, Bro. Suni said he wasn’t thinking of him as having a weapon as much as he was thinking of stopping a criminal act in his community.
Went out into the streets of Southeast Houston pushing the #ProtectOurDaughters education and awareness campaign spearheaded by @queendom_come_inc along with a coalition of organizations. During a recent press release, our sisters informed everyone that the U.S. Department of Justice reports Houston as one of the largest hubs for human trafficking in the nation and the largest hub in Texas. Houston has over 200 active brothels, with two new openings each month. Houston is a popular entryway for internationally trafficked persons due to its two large, international airports and the Port of Houston, which is the largest international port in the United States and the thirteenth busiest in the world. $1.6 Billion is made off sex trafficking in Houston…As we talked to our people on the block and door to door, they were shocked to hear about these statistics. We encouraged all men, young and old, to step up to respect, elevate and protect our women and girls. The work continues.

Had to share this…..
While pushing The Final Call Newspaper yesterday in Southeast Houston, I spotted this sister from a distance walking and pulling a huge basket. Once she got closer to the corner we were on she was noticeably struggling. I walked over and said “Sister, can we assist you?” It was packed with groceries from a nearby store that’s about 10-15mins from where we were…if you’re DRIVING. So I asked her did she walk that entire distance and she said yes. I asked her how far she had to go and offered to pull it for her. She said she had to go to the next light, which was way too far.
As I offered to help, she said “Nah, that’s okay. I’ve seen y’all men out here a lot. Y’all are busy doing some good stuff and I don’t want to burden y’all with my petty problems.” I said, “No, sister you’re not burdening us, we are out here for you.”
She then started crying and telling me that the reason she was pulling the groceries by herself was due to getting in an argument with her husband at the store and he told her to walk by herself. Then she said, “And I’m pregnant too.” I said “We got you.” We had her to have a seat at the nearby bus stop as I pulled the basket and Brother Linton went to bring his SUV around. We loaded up her basket in the back and headed toward her home. She then told us how she’s 28 and her husband is 31 and how he hasn’t been the same since he came out of the military. Then she said that yesterday actually marked the 3rd month of her pregnancy.
As we drove her home, the distance was longer than we thought and we thank Allah she passed by us because that would have been a 45+ minute walk. I was sharing words with her from The Hon. Minister Louis Farrakhan lecture series titled “How To Give Birth To A God” and how precious she is, and why her husband must treat her better and the type of things she should feed the mind of the child as its formulating in the womb. When we got to her home she inquired about what religion we represent because she’d be interested in attending a service. We unloaded her basket, gave her contact info and invited her and her husband to the mosque. She thanked us and we headed to go door to door. We are here to SERVE. Praise be to Allah!

Death Row Inmate: “The Final Call newspaper helped to save my life”
Call for Reggie Clemons’ freedom continues; new evidence revealed
By Jesse Muhammad
(FinalCall.com) – By listening to the upbeat tone of his voice on the phone, one could not tell that Reginald Clemons has been on death row in the state of Missouri for half of his life for a crime he says he didn’t commit.
Last year he was on the brink of having his life ended before being granted a stay of execution and now he is cautiously optimistic about an upcoming hearing on May 10.
“I know that God has put me through all of this for a purpose. I don’t know what purpose it is but I would not still be here without the prayers and works of my family and supporters,†said Mr. Clemons to The Final Call in a March 15 telephone interview.
“Last year I was staring death in the face but I am alive to keep fighting. I know it was due in large part to the support of Minister Farrakhan and the story that appeared in The Final Call newspaper. The Final Call helped to save my life. Without that story my plight would not have spread as fast and my wrongful execution would have been carried out in darkness,†said Mr. Clemons, 38, referring to the article appearing in FCN Volume 28 No. 35 dated June 9, 2009.
According to Mr. Clemons, at the upcoming hearing in May, Judge Michael Manners of Jackson County will either decide to give him a new trial, set a new execution date or recommend his immediate release.
“It is very unprecedented that they would bring in a judge from another jurisdiction but they wanted someone who could look at this case objectively. I hope he will see the crookedness that has been done by the prosecutor in this case the entire time,†said Mr. Clemons.
On March 8, the Missouri Attorney General’s office asked that Judge Manners consider some evidence that has been held in cold storage at the police department’s crime lab. According to the letter from the AG’s office to the judge “the state has discovered three laboratory reports and certain physical evidence, including what is commonly referred to as a rape kit. The evidence had not been previously disclosed as part of the state’s case against Mr. Clemons,†the letter said.
“Why was this evidence withheld all this time? This further shows the prosecutorial misconduct of Nel Moss,†said Mr. Clemons, who also has several inventions that he is seeking to get patented while imprisoned.
Mr. Clemons was convicted and sentenced to death in connection with the 1991 deaths of two White siblings, Robin and Julie Kerry, who drowned after falling from the Chain of the Rocks Bridge into the Mississippi River. Mr. Clemons has maintained his innocence and has stated that he gave coerced confessions after suffering multiple beatings from St. Louis Metropolitan police detectives.
On June 17, 2009, Mr. Clemons was scheduled to be executed by lethal injection before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit granted a stay. On June 30, the Missouri Supreme Court appointed Judge Manners as special master to review Mr. Clemons’ case.
“The appointment of a special master to a case like this is unheard of in the judicial history of St. Louis. This is only a testament to the intensified efforts on the ground. This new hearing gives us hope but we still have to wait to see what the judge decides,†said Zaki Baruti of the Universal African Peoples Organization.
Jamala Rogers, lead coordinator of the “Justice For Reggie†campaign, told The Final Call that the stay of execution was a victory and agrees that the grassroots mobilization has impacted this case.
“Missouri has never seen such a mobilization upsurge like this surrounding a case like they have seen for Reggie. He deserves his day in court. We’re not stopping. We are still encouraging everyone to sign the petitions online because we want Reggie totally free,†said Ms. Rogers, who has worked alongside Vera Thomas, Mr. Clemons’ mother, and this legal defense team.

I don’t know about you, but every week I am visitingwww.whitehouse.gov to educate myself on the proposed policies of President Obama and his administration. And ask myself “What can you do?”
Today I read over the White House Proposed Urban Policy. I came across the Criminal and Law Enforcement section that states in part that Obama wants to:
“Reduce Crime Recidivism by Providing Ex-Offender Supports: America is facing an incarceration and post-incarceration crisis in urban communities. Obama and Biden will create a prison-to-work incentive program, modeled on the successful Welfare-to-Work Partnership, and work to reform correctional systems to break down barriers for ex-offenders to find employment.”
I immediately thought about the work that is being done in Houston by a group of hardworking Believers from Muhammad Mosque No. 45. They launched a series of expungement workshops aimed at giving ex-offenders a second chance at life. To date over 1000 persons have attended these sessions and over 40 percent have qualified to have their records handled in such a way to open doors for them that are normally shut to ex-offenders.
They were recently presented with a proclamation by Houston Mayor Bill White and Council Member Jarvis Johnson for their hard work. My whole point is that there are many groups, known and unknown, that have been working on the grounds to help people for years.
Let’s unite our resources and BE the change.
